The man that hath no music in himself, Nor is not moved with concord of sweet sounds, Is fit for treasons, stratagems, and spoils; The motions of his spirit are dull as night, And his affections dark as Erebus. Let no such man be trusted. Mark the music.
— William Shakespeare

Eclectic, mutli-instrumentalest composer with background in Rock, Metal, and Latin styles.  José Antonio Bahamonde was born in Mayagüez, Puerto Rico where he began his musical journey listening to his Parent's Salsa and Rock records.  He grew up in Isabela, where he started taking piano lessons at the age of 7.  After becoming exposed to latin bands like Maná, La Ley, Molotov, and American bands Nirvana, Metallica, Megadeth, and Soundgarden, José asked his parents for a guitar finally getting one at the age of 17.  Predominantly self taught, José quickly progressed and joined several metal bands after moving to Massachusetts.

Always a student of the instrument, he has studied theory and technique with Michael Abdow, Oli Herbert, and Tom Kopyto.  After moving to New York for grad school, he has been continuing his studies in Jazz improvisation with the great Joe Giglio.  Jose is currently pursuing his PhD in electrical engineering at Columbia University.
